Hi Everyone, Looking forward to an awesome new school year. Right now it looks like I will be teaching 7th Grade World History for my 9th time. Can't wait to meet my new students. If you think you might be one of my students this year the list of items needed for my class on my home page are also items you might need for your other classes. Just the basics really. I think my only special requested items are a supply of whiteboard markers and whiteboard eraser(old sock works great). You will need these for regular whiteboard checks for understanding.
Until I see you in September, enjoy your summer. Rest up! Minimum day schedule, school gets out at 12.29.
Today students have been assigned a section of Inca Reading Notes 26 to become an expert on. Thier expertise in the topic will be crucial for the Experiential Activity on Tuesday. In the activity students will have to pass thier information on in an Inca Relay on the quad. The relay models the relays system developed and and used by the Inca civilization to keep the extensive empire intact. Today students are preparing for a visit to the "market". Tomorrow in class the students will enjoy the atmosphere of the Great Market of Technotitlan. They will trade knowledge with each other and trade info about the Aztecs for tasty Aztec grub prepared by me. Looking forward to trading, music, food and hopefully fun.
Today students in 1st, 2nd and 3rd period performed skits on Aztec warfare. So far Garik has been our most dramatic of the Aztecs. He sentenced one prisoner of war to a life of slavery where they needed to clean up after him. Good job Garik!! Hopefully skits will go just as well in Periods 5 and 6.
Hi everyone! Not exactly sure what to post. I'm thinking maybe if I can, I will post videos that show me modeling how to complete assigments or just writing about how lessons went. I guess we'll see.
